We liked it so much we decided to go back. Only this time we brought some of the fam.
After locating our donor car for Buster, a 2003 Subaru Outback, we had it towed to Sue's brother's farm where we had the room to work on it.
Buster's engine is getting tired and leaky and it's time to find a replacement. After lots of research and hunting around we finally found a new power plant for our little home-on-wheels.
After a very, very long wait here is the second installment of the Mexico (Baja) portion of our trip. We spent part of our time in Cabo San Lucas at the southern tip of the Baja where, on a whim, we adopted a dog from the Los Cabos Humane Society who were very nice people to deal with and are doing a very good thing for the thousands of stray dogs in the Baja.
Here is the first installment of the Mexican portion of our journey. We crossed in Tijuana and traveled down the entire Baja Peninsula to Cabo San Lucas. Most of our time was spent on a beach in a small village called Juncalito.
Feliz Navidad to everyone from sunny Mexico.
After living the life of luxury traveling with Sue’s sister Laura and her husband Jeff for ten days it was time to get back into budget camping mode and wait for my cousin Jim to get to Cali so we could head into Mexico.
Before we left on our trip we made plans for Sue’s sister Laura and her husband Jeff to fly out and meet us somewhere on our journey.
Some amazing (and not so amazing) biking, snow in the desert, beautiful canyons and a hospital visit made up this portion of our trip.
After an unplanned detour to Lake Tahoe we headed east across the Nevada desert to Utah and some of the best singletrack in the southwest.
